Position Summary
Imperial Imaging Technology is currently seeking an Accounting Associate in Marietta, Georgia. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Accounting Associate plays a key role in supporting the daily accounting operations of a small business during a high-growth period. This position involves performing a range of general accounting tasks in compliance with established accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will contribute to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records, support efficient processing of accounts receivable and payable, and actively participate in optimizing workflows within our evolving department. We currently utilize QBO but will be migrating to a different platform this year. This position offers the opportunity to help shape the future of the department!

Role and Responsibilities
The following is intended as a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
- Manage the accounts receivable process, including preparing and issuing customer invoices, posting payments, and monitoring outstanding balances
- Process incoming payments by compiling, sorting, and verifying receipts; accurately post cash receipts
- Oversee the accounts payable process by reviewing and verifying invoices against purchase orders and receiving documents, and resolving discrepancies
- Perform regular credit card reconciliations and reconciliations of other assigned general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and identify variances
- Provide support for period-end closing procedures
- Organize, file, and maintain accounting records, reports, and supporting documentation in accordance with company record retention policies
- Adhere to all company policies, including quality standards, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
- Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; equivalent experience considered
- 2-5 years of experience in accounting roles, with exposure to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and reconciliations
- Preference given to candidates with exposure to sales tax concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle confidential information
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
